A Taliban official, who oversaw the transfer, stated that the aircraft, traveling from Thailand to Russia with six people onboard, crashed in the Kof Aab district in northeastern Badakhshan.

He stated that the survivors were located in Kof Aab district following a two-day search.

He added that two of the survivors are in good health, while the other two require further medical treatment.

The Taliban reported that two passengers perished in the accident, and search efforts for their bodies are ongoing.
