Orlando Terranova has won stage 6 of the 2022 Dakar Rally for the pro-drive-run Bahrain team while Nasser Al-Attiyah extended his overall advantage, despite finishing only 10th.

Argentinian driver, Terranova fended off a stern challenge from Audi’s Mattias Ekstrom in the closing segment of the second Riyadh loop to claim the 7th stage-win of his career, 1 minute 6 seconds clear of the Swede.
Saudi driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi leap-frogged Sebastian Loeb to second in the overall classification with the third fastest time, after the Frenchman lost 25 minutes for taking the wrong route earlier in the stage.
Loeb’s troubles came as a blessing for his chief rival Al-Attiyah, who extended his lead in the overall standings to 50 minutes,, despite doing no better than 10th.
