Pakistani forces have detained Afghan refugees in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province.
Police have detained these Afghans from the surrounding areas of a Pakistan Air Force base called ‘Khalid Air Base’.
According to police, the arrested Afghans were residing in Quetta illegally who have been taken under further investigation.
Pakistan began a crackdown against Afghan refugees in its territory after a deadly attack on an air force base in Badhber area of Peshawar.
The attack left 29 people killed, most of them air force personnel and military, and as many wounded.
Even though, the responsibility of the attack was claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a Pakistani militant group, and the attackers who are identified so far also belong to Pakistan but Afghan refugees are given hard time by Pakistan’s security force.
