Democrats under the leadership of President Joe Biden are slowly but alarmingly losing the ground in the United States, with more than half of the countrys population viewing the incumbent administration as a failure.
A latest poll, conducted by SSRS in January and February, says nearly 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of how Biden is handling his presidency, with many of them arguing that there is literally nothing he has done since taking office early last year that they approve of.
Around 58 percent of voters show disapproval at the way the Democrat is handling his job as president, with his ratings falling across the board.
Most notably, Independent and Latino voting groups believe that the first year of Biden presidency has been more of a failure rather than a success.
"Im hard pressed to think of a single thing he has done that benefits the country," wrote one survey respondent.
With just nine months ahead of the midterm elections, voters blame Biden and his party for the immigration crisis and soaring inflation in the US, with two-thirds of Americans saying that Biden and Democrats are focusing on issues that they dont care about.
Biden also continues to have more strong detractors than supporters: 41 percent of Americans disapproved strongly of his performance as President versus 15 percent who strongly approved.
According to a survey by Morning Consult, a leading business intelligence company, more than 56 percent of Americans disapprove Bidens handling of immigration crisis.
Activists are frustrated with the president for not following through on the promises he made about resolving the crises during the election campaign.
The poll suggests that only a few have faith in anything Washington or Biden may do this year.
The share of Americans, who say that they have a lot of confidence in Bidens ability to provide real leadership for the country, remains low at only 21 percent.
Disapproval at Bidens administration came on the heels of the record high inflation in the last 40 years of the US history.
US consumer prices rose by 7.5 percent annually in January, putting more political pressure on Biden, whose popularity has been declining amid anxiety over the rising cost of living.
