أفغانستان بحاجة لمساعدات بقيمة 5 مليارات دولار في 2022

طلبت الأمم المتحدة، اليوم الثلاثاء، مبلغا قياسيا بقيمة خمسة مليارات دولار لتمويل مساعداتها لأفغانستان هذا العام، وتأمين "مستقبل" لبلد يقف على شفا كارثة إنسانية.

وقالت الأمم المتحدة في بيان، إن تمويل خطتها الجديدة يتطلب 4.4 مليارات دولار من الدول المانحة لتوفير الاحتياجات الإنسانية في أفغانستان لهذا العام، في أكبر مبلغ تطلبه المنظمة الأممية لدولة واحدة، يضاف إليه مبلغ 623 مليون دولار لمساعدة ملايين اللاجئين الأفغان الذين فرّوا من بلدهم إلى دول مجاورة.

وأوضحت بأن 22 مليون شخص داخل أفغانستان، و5.7 مليون أفغاني نزحوا إلى بلدان مجاورة، يحتاجون إلى مساعدة ضرورية هذا العام.

وقال مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للشؤون الإنسانية، مارتن غريفث، إن "كارثة إنسانية شاملة ترخي بظلالها. رسالتي عاجلة: لا تغلقوا الباب بوجه شعب أفغانستان".

وأضاف: "ساعدونا على تجنب انتشار واسع للجوع والمرض وسوء التغذية والموت في نهاية المطاف".

ومن دون المساعدات "لن يكون هناك مستقبل" لأفغانستان، حسبما صرح غريفيث للصحافيين في جنيف.

وجمدت واشنطن مليارات الدولارات من أصول أفغانستان لديها، بعد الانسحاب من البلاد، فيما تعرقلت إمدادات المساعدات بشكل كبير. إضافة إلى ذلك شهدت أفغانستان في 2021 جفافا هو الأسوأ في عقود.
