Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)
US President Joe Biden has prayed for the family of Palestinian congresswoman Rashida Tlaib as Israel continues aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip and other occupied territories.
Mentioning the Michigan Democratic lawmaker by name, Biden made the comments at the beginning of a speech at a Ford plant in Dearborn on Tuesday.
"I admire your intellect, I admire your passion, and I admire your concern for so many other people," Biden said. "Its from my heart, I pray that your grand mom and family are well. I promise you I am going to do everything to see that they are safe on the West Bank. Youre a fighter and God thank you for being a fighter."
Tlaib has been at the forefront fo calls for an end to US military aid to Israel along with some other lawmakers and activists.
The first Palestinian American woman ever elected to Congress, Tlaib hinted at noble policies in the Biden administration in dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"I hope that my president, our president, speaks up and speaks truth about what exactly is happening because I know they know and I know they are enabling it by sitting there, and saying these kinds of passive language that is not going to hold a lawless, very much a corrupted country right now that is set in apartheid state," she told MSNBC on Monday.
The latest round of tensions kicked off over the Zionist regimes expansive policies, which were met by resistance from the Hamas movement.
The Gazans resistance against Israels iron hand has now spread across all the occupied territories, where the Muslim locals are fed up with Tel Avivs crackdown and land grab.
According to latest death toll, 213 Palestinians, including 61 children, 36 women and 16 elderly, have lost their lives in the latest round of Israeli violence.
The Israeli military has been under fire globally over its crimes against Palestinians, especially those residing in Gaza, which has already been under a crippling Israeli siege.
