English football giant Arsenal won on Saturday the FA Cup final after beating Hull City to end a nine-year trophy drought. The Gunners, which had won their last major trophy in 2005, made a come-back from two goals down to win 3-2 after extra time. “It’s a big, big moment of happiness,” Wenger said. “It was a long time,” Arsene Wenger, the team’s long-time manager said vowing to stay at the Emirates stadium for a new contract. "It was an important moment in the life of this team," Wenger said. The FA Cup final comeback against Hull City can be a turning point towards a successful new era for the club, Wenger added. Wenger, who has been the Arsenal’s coach since 1996, also congratulated Hull City players for their performance. Hull City played in the fourth division as recently as 2004 and was on the brink of bankruptcy after being dropped from the Premier League in 2010 only to have Assem Allam, an Egyptian businessman, step in with an infusion of cash. Thousands of Arsenal fans flooded the streets of north London to celebrate their side's dramatic FA Cup victory.
