An Afghan national army soldier was killed following an explosion in capital Kabul early Wednesday morning.
Defense ministry spokesman, Gen. Zahir Azimi said the blast took place in Karte Naw area of Kabul city.
Gen. Azimi further added that an Afghan national army official was also injured following the blast.
He said the blast took place as a result of a magnetic bomb planted in a vehicle of the Afghan national army.
In the meantime, head of the 8th district police department said at least two civilians including a woman and a child were also injured following the blast.
The Taliban have taken responsibility for the attack.
