Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association over a fan confrontation after his side’s defeat against Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The England international climbed over seats following Tottenham’s defeat on penalties last month, and appeared to get into a physical confrontation with supporters before he was restrained by security guards.
The FA released a statement saying that Dier is charged with breaching an FA rule, but as the charge is non-standard, there will be no potential suspension.
The FA branded Dier’s behavior at the end of the match, as both improper and threatening, and stated that he has until the 8th of May to respond to the charge.
