In a nail-biting encounter in Doha, UEFA Champions League holders, Liverpool, have been crowned 2019 FIFA Club World Cup champions after edging Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo 1-nil.
The two teams were well-drilled and ready to nullify the others threats, and as neither side capitalized on their chances the match finished scoreless in regulation and went into extra time.
The Merseyside Reds, however, got the upper hand and Brazil striker Roberto Firmino produced a composed finish in the 99th minute, and so Liverpool became the second English side to win the tournament, after Manchester United accomplished the feat in 2008.
