Dozens marched to the US Embassy in Panama City, to protest on the 30th anniversary of the US invasion of the Central American country, on Friday.
Footage shows the protesters marching towards the Embassy carrying Panamanian flags and an effigy of US President Donald Trump. The effigy and the American flag were burned by the protesters.
Jorge Guzman, one of the protesters said that the US "never apologised never recognised the invasion, never recognised the number of dead people, they only recognise 500 or 600 killed, when the whole world knows there was more than 2000 dead of civilians and military."
On December 20, 1989, more than 27,000 soldiers invaded Panama to overthrow and arrest the then president of the country, General Manuel Antonio Noriega, who was later prosecuted for drug trafficking.
