Abdullah says rift among people should be removed as it is concerning for future of the country.
Chief Executive Abdullah Abullah said Afghanistan is passing through a critical juncture in its modern history and that there would be no way to save the country if rift and injustice were spread among the people once again.
Addressing a ceremony on 4th death anniversary of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, Abdullah said negative consequences of current rift in the country is concerning and that it should be removed.
"Our country is in a critical juncture, it is gaining achievements; but, it is in the most critical state of the modern history. Nothing will save Afghanistan if we repeat that big neglect and take step towards injustice and ethnic divisions," Abdullah said.
"Dear brothers and sisters, Marshal (Fahim) was a man of Afghanistan, he was a man of this country and had deep links with the countrys soil and its people," former president Hamid Karzai said.
Abdullah meanwhile said the National Unity Government has failed to secure peoples trust in electoral process.
He pointed to the peace process and governments peace offer to Taliban and said no ‘secret deal will happen in the negotiations process.
"Peace will not come if any secret deal is involved and people will not support it. The people who sacrifice their lives for peace, will stand against it," said Abdullah.
Adib Fahim, son of Marshal Fahim and the first deputy head of the National Directorate of Security called on people to stay united.
"Accepting each other means mutual respect, respect to the great nation of Afghanistan. Accepting each other means leaving small interests for the big interests and for Afghanistan interests," Fahim said.
