Ghani Appoints Civil Service Reforms Commissioners
Ghani Appoints Civil Service Reforms Commissioners

President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday introduced new members of the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission where he warned that "no one should interfere in the commission".

Ghani introduced the eight new members at an event on Wednesday in Kabul.

According to him, the commission recently organized a written test for at least 500 applicants for vacant posts in the electronic national identity card issuance department.

"This commission is not a place for conspiracy, (for) plots or incomplete thoughts. This commission is futuristic and provides the ground for a stable and prosperous Afghanistan," he said.

"Stability and peace in Afghanistan cannot be achieved through the sacrifices of Afghan security forces alone. Today we have put this responsibility to them (security forces).

Their sacrifices will be wasted if we don't make the civil services effective and impartial, just and on time," said Nadir Naderi, head of the commission.

The new commissioners and their higher education are as follows:

• Najibullah Amin, currently doing a PhD.

• Rohullah Amin, commissioner of administrative reforms and civil services. He has a Master's in adaptive psychology and a doctorate in curative medicine

• Tabasum, is a resident of Nimroz province, and is a senior analyst in philosophy and social anthropology

• Maiwand Rahyab, a senior analyst in public administration

• Sayed Hashmatullah has a bachelor's degree from Kabul Medical University

• Ahmad Ratib Muzaffari has a doctorate in international relations

• Baryalai Helmandi has a bachelor's degree in law and is a senior analyst in public administration

• Muqadasa Yuresh is a senior analyst in economics and management.

According to recent statistics, at least 25,000 posts are vacant in government institutions.
