Paghman gang rape perpetrators executed in Kabul Paghman gang rape perpetrators executed in Kabul

The perpetrators involved in the gang rape of four women in Paghman district were hanged to death in Kabul on Wednesday.

The perpetrators who were awarded death sentence included Azizullah, Nazar Mohammad, Qaisullah, Samiullah and Habibullah.

Kabul police chief, Gen. Zahir Zahir said all perpetrators in the gang rape were executed inside the Pul-e-Charkhi prison on Wednesday afternoon.

The group was also found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping of the family by the court.

The victims were initially abducted while they were returning from a wedding ceremony and were repeatedly raped besides their belongings were robbed by the gang.

The death penalty was approved by the Supreme Court of Afghanistan on 24th September.
