The Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan (IEC) announced the second partial vote results on Sunday evening.
IEC announced 49.67 percent of the votes counted so far which is equivalent to 3,456,910 votes that puts Dr. Abdullah Abdullah once again in the lead.
Abdullah secured 44.4 percent of the votes while Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai secured 33.2 percent of votes and Zalmai Rassoul 10.4 percent of the votes.
Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf secured 7.6 percent of the votes while Qotbuddin Helal secured 2.7 percent, Gul Agha Sherzoi 1.6 percent, Daud Sultanzoi 0.5 percent and Hedayat Amin Arsalan 0.2 percent of the votes.
Nuristani said the partial votes announced today consist of clean and genuine votes.
